Homemade Natural Olive Oil Soap

We can say that the best cleaning product known from the past to the present is soap. Soaps are indispensable in our daily life. However, soaps that we usually procure from outside contain chemicals. These additives can be harmful for most people. For those who do not want to use soaps with additives, we have compiled how to make natural olive oil soap at home.

Ingredients for olive oil soap:

Olive oil (3 glasses)

Water (6 glasses)

1 glass of suds caustic (Drain opener)


Soap mold

Steel pot (6 liters)

Wooden tablespoon


Olive oil soap recipe preparation

After putting 6 glasses of water in a large steel pot, a glass of caustic is slowly added into it. In this way, it is heated by stirring gently.

 Olive oil is heated up to 40 degrees in another pot. Then it is mixed with the caustic that has reached the same temperature.

It is whisked for 10 minutes over low heat with the help of a mixer. (Here you need to wear protective gloves on your hands, protect your face and wear glasses.) 

After that, it should be whisked every 5-10 minutes for 1-2 minutes.

The mixture should become thick and should be at 40 ° C. (You can check it with a thermometer.)

After thickening, the mixture is wrapped in a blanket and left for 24 hours.

After 24 hours, it can be poured into the molds of your choice and kept for 2-3 days.

After 3 days, it should be removed from the molds and put on a wire counter and dried for 2 months.

Do not worry if it turns white powder on it, this is the soda coming out and it is normal.

Then you can make it ready for use by brushing.
